Here the soil is stony-calcareous, this gives to timorasso grape a unique character and sharp minerality. Like Costa only 5.000 bottles produced every year, a rarity among rarities!

Five generations of the Massa family have laboured tirelessly to keep the Timorasso grape from extinction on the steep hills east of the city Tortona. Timorasso grape is an ancient, endangered variety, which is also very difficult to grow and comes with a small yield.
